n A Good Reputation is the Greatest Reward. n
What are the standards for reward? Each company has to decide that for itself. At Alliance, we measure our success and our reputation one customer, one building, at a time. Each is as important as the next. Alliance has built its reputation on return customers and referrals they have given others. Although many of our jobs have honored us with industry awards, we are far more concerned with earning and maintaining our customers' confidence. Rather than set our sights on the material rewards, Alliance continues to set its sights on excellence. The pay off? Success on our own terms and customers who do business with us time and time again.

When Parson’s Technology Group found itself without contractors for the exterior of Medimmune’s new Frederick County manufacturing and office building, and with a completion timeframe bearing down on them, they despaired of finding a solution in time. They had contracted the glazed curtain wall & the roof – but the entire exterior panel system, the tube steel supporting frame, and the windows needed to be done and contractors hadn’t been selected. There was no way the project wouldn’t be delayed.

Or so they thought.

It’s true – there was a lot of work to be done and not much time in which to do it. The work of multiple trades needed to be coordinated by a staff already encumbered by engineering and design demands. But unexpectedly, the work began to be accomplished without delay and the completion date suddenly seemed within reach after all. The various tradesmen worked in unison getting the largest building in the county complete, on time and within budget.

Because the entire building exterior package was undertaken by a sole source provider.

At Alliance we understood the importance of meeting the needs of the owner’s and contractor’s schedules. We knew that we could manage the multiple trades and coordinate the work of the building exterior to ease the burden on the general contractor.

And if you’re traveling on Route 70 through Frederick, look to the north at the largest building in the county, it’s a beauty.

When Baltimore's Penn Station needed its roof replaced, Amtrak officials were concerned that such a cumbersome project would disrupt the itineraries of its thousands of passengers. Construction noise, increased traffic, and debris would surely wreak havoc on this transportation hub - not to mention the safety of its one-of-a-kind antique stained glass skylight. But the roof was failing. An inconvenience to passengers and a gamble on the skylight seemed unavoidable.

Or so they thought.

It's true – it was loud at times, with workers demolishing the existing roof and traffic patterns being disrupted by trucks and cranes pulling in and out of the limited downtown space. The continuous noise from a running generator echoed up and down the tracks. But not one passenger heard the noise or was delayed because of traffic. Passengers came and went without inconvenience or complaint.

Because all of the work was done at night.

At Alliance we understood how much of a disruption the construction would cause. As with all our jobs, we worked to ensure that our customer's needs came first. We realized that working at night would allow us to expertly install a quality roof at a time that avoided inconvenience to thousands. Even though it was done at night, it was done right.

And by the way, if you're ever in Penn Station, take a look up at the stained glass skylight – it’s a beauty.
